Bear Cub Falls

One of many small Catskill waterfalls, located at the head of Woodland Valley. I call it Bear Cub Falls because if it were not for a crying bear cub, I would have never found them. I'm sure this is where that bear cub takes his Saturday night bath.

A Wittenberg Bear searching for his morning breakfast, the most important meal of the day. Leaving no stone unturned.

Lone Coyote carefully sniffs his way across log, looking for a late night snack. He seems to be afraid of the dark, and seems to be spooked by every noise. How many times has the howl of the coyote sent a chill down our spine on a moonlit night. Now it is his turn to be frightened. Another one is annoyed that he must wear his mask, unless he's eating.

Bear on a Log. Trees and bears. A good combo

.

Bobcat follows the waterway looking for critters to catch.

What is more picturesque, and fun, than a bear on a log?

One of many waterfalls in Woodland Valley from below and above.

Rolland Smith and Paul Misko take a late afternoon kayak paddle. Toward the end, one of the local beavers slaps his tail to make his dive to safety as Rolland approaches.

Fox  crosses paths with a large groundhog, but realizes it is not a fight worth having.

Fox seems to detect camera sensor and becomes cautious.

The elusive Fisher has returned to the Catskills, and they are rarely seen in person. They would not make good pets, but they DO eat porcupines. Good for your cabin and car.
