Bears Aplenty

Some bear related pics. A few funny, a few scary. 

This scary episode took place on the side of Wittenberg.

I washed my paws and I'm ready to eat.

                  This fuzzy friend below became famous. He popped out 

                    on the bank of the Woodland Creek, and his pic ended 

                     up in a couple of books; including....

                    "Catskill Peak Experiences" by Carol and Dave White.

When bears want the best food...

                               Ok Jay, I'll bop him on the head, and you tackle him!

  If you try to hand-feed the bears, 

                  you will end up feeding them your hand.

      

                                             

You can see the ear tags in this mean looking bruin, which tell us that 

he was caught and released twice already for causing trouble. This pic was taken near the head of Woodland Valley.
